Just here to say Happy WA Day!!
We are just so lucky to be born here in WA.
in the Land of the Free!!!

So much beauty.
So much freedom.
So much space.

We could have been born anywhere in this world.
We could have been born in a concrete jungle… instead…..
We could have been born in a place
where we were without freedom of speech and inequality.
Instead….
We could have been born in a place where we were forced to work
in factories just so that we can feed our families.
Instead …
Instead we are West Aussies.
I believe we have much to appreciate and celebrate.

We born of first nations, immigrants and convicts.
There have been travesties and hardships along the way for all.
But we have formed together in community. In my humble opinion.
We are young and free!
Common threads formed over our love of nature, the great outdoors,
sport, hard work and mateship.
I hope for our future that we remain united and in support of one another.
That we can reject social constructs designed to divide us.
Our strength and our joy is in our unity.
And in our freedom to think for ourselves,
with the right to our own opinions
and the ability to respect our differences.
That to me is where our freedom lives.

I hope for my daughter and her children and their children AND all of our children and children’s children … that this sentiment lives on in our state and our nation.
In belief that we are all everyday humans going through the human experience together.
In this beautiful, blessed state we live in.
Here’s to living in THIS moment and
Happy WA Day!!
Here’s a collection of old and new photos taken by me and past generations of my family.
I’m forever grateful for the appreciation my family has instilled in me, both of the country around us and for the love of documenting the beauty in images. ❤️
Happy WA Day!!
