I could literally write a book on how these images make me feel…. I won’t 🙂 These simple yet elegant engagement session images of them were taken at the Lancelin sand dunes in Western Australia.
This is my baby sister… which she used to hate me saying but 9 1/2 years is a huge age difference. We lost our Dad in a car accident when I was 21 years old, it changed our family forever… Ella was just 12. Then just 5 years ago we lost our Mumma to cancer…. Ella was 21 then and she’s faced the challenges and felt the pain but more importantly has never let it define her as a person and I believe that’s just what our parents would have wanted.
They taught us to “fly in the face of adversity, strive for the life that makes us happy and suck the marrow out of each day”. They taught by example.
Ella has met Reece, he’s more than wonderful. We all adore him and he’s just the perfect match for our Ella Bella. He’s caring and thoughtful and good, you know… nice and good …and amazing! Now they have their little girl Olive and you can see the joy in their faces… it’s alive and beautiful. (side note: I love their love language!)
So they get married on Saturday… I’m so honoured to be the one to photograph this memorable day for them. (I’ll leave a link to their wedding below)
Ella, I couldn’t be more happy for you. This life you created is just the goods. I know Mum and Dad will be smiling so massive on you all day long.
